Meet our instructors
Bruce Skelton
Assistant Instructor
Bruce has trained with Four Paws since 2010. He and his wife have four dogs at present, two Yellow Labradors, a Black Labrador and a Hamilton Hound. At the club, Bruce handles Little Ted (Black Labrador) who has achieved her Gold Kennel Club Award and Pooh Bear (Hamilton Hound) who has achieved her Bronze Award. His two Yellow Labradors (Fudge Finger and Foxglove) are usually handled at the club by his wife, and they have both attained their Gold Awards.
Bruce and his wife Pat have had six dogs before the current gang in their married life, including three Hamiltons that they used to show. Obedience training has always been important to them, so a natural progression has led Bruce to join the training team. He has attended relevant courses:
-
2014: The Instructors Workshop run by Odin Canine Services.
-
2015: A “Dog First Aid Training Course” run by ProTrainings.
-
2017: A seminar about aggression in dogs, given by Nick Honor.
Being a keen photographer, you will also find Bruce in and around the club taking photos for our website.
