Claire Horsman

In early 2018, when I was at my wit's end with my beautiful but misunderstood rescue German Shepherd, Simba, I met Grahame and Skeena while walking along the river. After chatting for a while, I was convinced that Four Paws was exactly what we needed in our lives.

The trainers provided me with the support, skills, and confidence I needed to manage and train Simba, helping him become the dog he deserved to be. For this, I will always be grateful. Sadly, we lost Simba to a GDV at just six years old.

I returned to the club in spring 2023 with Cookie, a 4-month-old black German Shepherd. Cookie has since completed her Puppy, Bronze, Silver and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme awards.

I am delighted to have joined the Four Paws committee.
